I'm a God-fearing, sweet-tea drinking, sky-diving, book reading, volleyball spiking, daughter, sister, mother and friend. I have a healthy dose of road rage, a sweet spot for my daughter's giggle and a cackle in my laugh.
I grew up in central Virginia but have wandered up and down the east coast of the U.S. for volleyball tournaments, education, love, and jobs. I'm the oldest of four children, wife to one, mother to one, and blessed with many friends.
I've been to France, Germany, Spain, England, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Turkey and Costa Rica with a list of the other 100+ countries on it. In the U.S., I've been to Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Illinois (wow - I've got a long way to go before getting to all 50!). Still, I love to travel and explore new places. My hubby is a great travel partner to any number of random adventures I've got in my head. We've done sea kayaking at Tybee Island, seen kangaroos in Dawsonville, Georgia, stood in and drove through the Redwoods of California, and finally stopped to see what the deal was with the Tank Museum in Danville, VA. Always an adventure - hopefully many more to come!
From a mother's perspective, in my free time I like to eat with both hands, carry a purse that is smaller than a piece of carry-on luggage, and listen to a radio station that does not feature adult voices that are unnaturally high and squeaky (yes, this also eliminates most pop radio stations).
If you'd like some more info, I've had a couple posts in years past with random tidbits in them. You can find them HERE and HERE.
